20 years ago on this day, Grammy Award-winning Singer, actress and author TONI BRAXTON released her third album The Heat via LaFace Records.
Production for the album was handled by Braxton's longtime collaborator Babyface, Rodney Jerkins, David Foster, Jazze Pha, Keri Lewis, Teddy Bishop, Daryl Simmons & Keith Crouch.
The Heat opened at No. 2 and No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 200's and R&B Albums charts respectively and went on to become a double platinum success, propelled by the singles; "He Wasn't Man Enough" which peaked at No. 2 on Billboard's Hot 100's and topped R&B's Singles Charts. Followed by "Just Be a Man About It" which peaked at No. 6 on the R&B chart and "Spanish Guitar".
Braxton secured a Grammy win in the category;
