Donavan “D33zy” Ward was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. He’s an artist, actor, songwriter, model, entrepreneur, activist, CEO and soon to be author. In addition to his many professional hats he currently works in the film industry. With credits to his film career on some of the biggest television and film productions internationally. Some of the productions he has worked included P Valley, BMF, The Color Purple Musical, and Back in Action just to name a few.
His musical journey started at the tender age of two-years old. The late greats Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson served as his earliest inspirations to become an artist. His family noticed the gift and knew he would be destined for greatness.
By the age of 10 he had found himself President of student council, a lead singer in the school choir, captain of the drill team, selected for the gifted program for children, and captain of the social studies club. All while maintaining the honor roll.
His middle school years were just as prominent as he was voted “Mr seventh grade.” He also was a key component to the success of the school's chess club. His academics took full priority in high school as he began to balance his newfound work life and school. While he didn’t engage in many activities during high school, he carried his passion to college.
Donavan graduated from Nicholls State University with a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism. He majored in mass communications and minored in speech. During college he obtained other task that furthers his goals of being an all-around entertainer. Such as directing, editing, script writing, radio hosting, news reporting, and marketing just to name a few.
After a minor hiatus and several years of preparation he finally relocated to Atlanta, Georgia. Since moving to Atlanta and launching his music career and film career. He has achieved many milestones both in music and in film. He released his first single “Beneficial". The song was released under his label Jungle Amazon Entertainment. A company he launched with his sisters the Dual Reflections Twins. ”Beneficial” not only received rave reviews by peers, fans, and major artist such as Kash Doll, Fat Joe, and Trina just to name a few. The single also landed him as an opening act for musical artist Tory Lanez.
Additionally, his flourishing modeling career landed him a campaign with DC
Models. Furthermore, he launched his own eyewear line Shades for Days: The Royal Collection. After filming his first short film, he began writing an upcoming urban nonfiction novel with the working title inherited karma. He recently dropped his latest single “Don’t Hold Back.” Which garnered him his transition to urban radio. With no signs of slowing down he also determined to display his limitless potential. Having worked with industry heavy weights such as Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, Curtis “50 cent” Jackson, Jamie Foxx, Cameron Diaz, Snoop dog, and a host of others. It’s clear he will be one of the worlds next big entertainers in due time.
